How to get to the port to catch that ferry to Santorini : Hints & Tips
Travelling to and from Athens International Airport to the centre of Athens - follow on to Piraeus Port
It's always a bit confusing traveling abroad, especially when you're not in an organized group. So here are Our HINTS & TIPS once you arrive in Athens Greece.

EXPRESS BUS SERVICE
Located outside the Airport Arrival Terminal
The bus lane is to your right as you exit. Buses depart on the hour and on every half hour. You buy your ticket from the ticket kiosk before you enter the bus.
BUS X96 : Airport - Piraeus Port
Average travelling time to Piraeus Port : 90 minutes. The line connects the airport with the port of Piraeus. (Connection with ferry routes & Metro GREEN Line 1)
BUS X95 : Airport - Syntagma Square
Average travelling time to Syntagma : 70 minutes. The line connects the airport with Syntagma square in Athens city center. (Connection with Metro Lines 2 & 3)
METRO & INTERCITY TRAINS
Located opposite the Airport Departure Terminal
There is a pedestrian flyover with access by stairs, moving escalator or elevator for the physically challenged which will take you to the train platforms & ticketing desks. Train frequency : every 30 minutes 7 days a week. Average travelling time to Piraeus Port including changeovers : 45 minutes to an hour
Follow these 3 steps
1) Get the Metro BLUE Line 3 from Airport to Syntagma square
2) Get off at Syntagma and connect to Monastiraki (1 stop).
3) Connect at Monastiraki for Piraeus Port with Metro GREEN Line 1
